Support to live well, at home.

Personal care and supported living across London

What the support is

Day-to-day tasks, done with you.

We support people with the things that illness or incapacity has made unsafe to manage alone at home, and out in the community.

Community and connection

Getting to leisure and social activities, and keeping up links with family and friends. Support at home should not mean staying in it.

Who we support

Services we do for people are

A care worker and a client walking indoor
Our care workers

Trained and signed off before working alone.

For most of the people we support, the most important people in this organisation are the care workers they see regularly. Every one completes a full induction and practical training in line with the Care Certificate, is signed off as competent, and is then supervised, appraised and observed in practice.

Personal hygiene

Bathing, showering, toileting, dressing and undressing, and getting in and out of bed.

Medication support

Administered and recorded under our medicines management policy, by staff trained to do it.

Meals and the household

Support with cooking, basic domestic chores, and keeping someone well-nourished and hydrated.

Getting out and staying connected

Leisure and social activities, and maintaining links with family and friends.

Reliable People

With One Impact Care, our life has become easy and organised. We love the way they communicate with us and look after our mother. They are professionals, always on time, and health and safety driven.

Caring Team

One Impact staff will try to find you time, no matter how busy they are. My aunt said they look after me like their family. I feel safe with them.

Selfless and Caring

We love the way they communicate with us and the job the carer does with Kieran. They are selfless and caring people. You can rely on them and trust them — they are safe, caring and professional.

Caring and respectful team

I've been very pleased with the care I've received from the team. The carers who visit me are friendly, punctual and respectful, and I never feel rushed when they are here. They help with the things I need but also encourage me to do what I can for myself, which I really value. The office staff have also been helpful whenever I've had a question or needed to make a change. Everyone I've spoken to has been approachable and willing to listen. I would be happy to recommend their service.

Questions

Questions families actually ask.

The six that come up on nearly every first call, answered the way we answer them on the phone.

Are you regulated?

Yes. One Impact Care - Ealing is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide the regulated activity of personal care as a domiciliary care service.

Who will be coming to the house?

A small, bespoke team allocated to you, with a named link worker responsible for your care plan. Holidays, sickness and training mean someone outside that core team is occasionally needed.

What training do your care workers have?

Every care worker completes a full induction and practical training before working alone, in line with the Care Certificate, and is signed off as competent. Ongoing training includes safeguarding adults and children, dementia awareness, moving and handling, medication awareness, infection control, first aid, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act awareness, autism and learning disability awareness, and challenging behaviour.

Do you support children as well as adults?

Yes. Children aged 0–18 are one of our service users, alongside adults aged 18–65 and 65+. Staff supporting children hold the relevant background checks and training, and we work alongside school, health and therapy plans rather than in isolation.

How do you decide what support someone needs?

With a care plan and risk assessment built with the person, using the QCS framework. We treat it as a living document and develop it over the first few weeks so that it reflects what someone can do for themselves and where they actually want support. If the person cannot be involved directly, we work with their advocate, GP, social worker or family.
